Are you hiring?
While we welcome data and observations from anyone who wishes to contribute to our database, we are not actively recruiting for our core group at this time.
Are your probes for sale?
Our probes have not and will not ever be for sale. Probe construction is prohibitively expensive to warrant mass production and sale. Additionally, there are numerous safety and security concerns we have with selling our probes.
How can I build my own tornado probe?
Tornado probes come in all shapes, sizes and functions! While there is no single 'blueprint' for a tornado probe, we encourage thorough research online for what equipment and materials would best suit your needs. We do NOT sell or share our files and programming for our tornado probes due to safety and proprietary reasons.
I'm just starting out as a new chaser. Should I try building and deploying probes?
NO. Probe deployment is extremely dangerous and should not be attempted without years of practical training and experience.
Is what you do anything like the movie 'Twister'?
Yes and no! While we are attempting to deploy scientific instrumentation into the path of tornadoes, 'Twister' takes many liberties in regards to how and when tornadoes form, and what can actually be done with the data derived from inside and near tornadoes.
